“The Mugneret sisters lost fully half of their crop in Echézeaux in 2016. The wine itself is absolutely stunning, soaring from the glass in a great aromatic constellation of plums, black cherries, raw cocoa, beautiful spice tones, gentle smokiness, duck, dark soil elements, violets and cedary wood. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and concentrated, with ripe, seamless tannins, great focus and balance and a very long, refined and complex finish. A great bottle of Echézeaux in the making. 2030-2080.”

Reviews & Scores
A brilliant wine that jumps from the glass with aromas of dark wild berries, baking chocolate, caramelized citrus rind and exotic spices. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, ample and expansive, with a broad, fleshy attack; a deep, concentrated core balanced by succulent acids; and extraordinary length and purity.
